Substantial highlights programmes also featured on Sky’s Golf Night programme in 2008 and BBC Wales broadcast highlights on the final two days of the Championship.
Worldwide coverage of The Celtic Manor Wales Open in 2008 included 12 hours of live coverage on The Golf Channel in the USA and Canada, reaching more than 83 million homes in North America.
Substantial live broadcasts were also transmitted by television stations across Europe, and in more than 30 countries worldwide including South Africa, China, Japan, Australia, India and the Middle East.
